This is also a reader submission, though not an ‘overdue thanks’ posting. BullyBones just submitted. I’m getting caught up. [The chairs are from the] back porch of the bar next door, Whiskey Tavern. I like how un-NYC it is; evokes a German beer hall. Bitte.

Thank you to my friends and readers who have shared chair photos with me or even taken them as favors. I really appreciate the help and am glad you’re thinking about your bottom sides, more. Here is a series of posts giving overdue exposure and credit to the friends who’ve helped me document found furniture […]

Bench set, probably 1950s. Cannot stand separately, like airport sets.

Most bentwood I see is svelte. This piece had the wide sprawl of a Cadillac seat. Great stance!

This next series of posts shows finds from second-hand stores in Centralia. These shoe fitting stools remind me of George Lucas machines. You can still buy them on Amazon.

Some very cool kid’s furniture at a school on my morning walk. Bent plywood is fairly common but I don’t usually see back, legs, and seat all from one continuous sheet.

I found the source for the cool barstools used at Uneeda Burger. Crate & Barrell sells thisĀ “Industrial-chic [stool] with a vintage architectural look twists high for barstool or drafting table, low for dining or desk. Crafted in sheet and tubular metal enhanced by an oxidized black iron finish.” $229 Love the swivel adjustment.
