A big thank you to my office mates for giving me the studio space to paint my Valentine’s gifts in secrecy. And to my sweetheart who did not reply, “This is the last time you give me chairs as a gift.”

I’m glad she loves these Marcel Breuer Cesca Chairs from a 1928 design. The design was never licensed, and has been knocked off ever since, which is why these chairs are so ubiquitous. But a little paint can make them shine.
