This chair was found at a Seattle Value Village. They still sell them new at Design Within Reach for
$150 $175. I got this one on my lunch break for $8.
The Bellini Chair is fantastic—not just for its form, but for its ergonomics, too. The designer really understood how the injection-molded plastic would behave at different thicknesses. The thin lip of the seat hides a thicker structure beneath it; the chair back gets thin at just the right place for it to flex and rock but still provide good lower back support. My only complaint is that the back rest is a bit sharp and angular for my shoulders.
